Gonna post the details of Family Night here:

FAMILY NIGHT; 10 JULY 2009!

1. Class Item
We can do either sing, dance or both - in 3 to 5 minutes.
Most of the coordinating would be done by the Family Night Coordinator (I have to go find out who that is), or Li En, or me.
Everyone has to be involved, because it's a class effort, and we're all getting the same grade. (: So please be enthusiastic and contribute actively! :D
The whole thing'll take up 20% of our CME grade.

Judging criteria:
40% - TEAMWORK/COORDINATION
40% - EFFECTIVENESS
20% - CLASS IDENTITY (in dressing)

*What we discussed in class today's almost finalised I guess? So, since we're gonna get most of the pictures and videos from our upcoming class party, please try your best to attend! Everyone must at least attend one of the two ClassBonding has planned, if not both. (:

Please send a sentence about yourself to Denise's email for the song by 29th May.
Please also send pictures of yourself (can be with classmates) to LiEn's email by next week.

We'll have to decide if we need music, as we'll need one person as a PA rep. to play the music. Also, we need to burn a CD for the music and hand in a copy of the lyrics of the song/songs. Both have to be handed in by 1 July.

There'll be 2 full-dress rehearsals:
1 on 3 July, Friday - 1.20pm to 2.20pm
1 on 10 July, Friday - 1.20pm to 2.20pm

Other than these 2, we're going to have another practice/rehearsal.
Date: 16 June, Tuesday
Time: 10am - 2pm
Venue: School

2. Class Identity

Our class colour is purple. Hair spray isn't allowed, so we can't get that. ):
However, Mrs. Chew said that those clip-on hair extensions are okay so we'll get those! ^^
Also, we'll be getting purple pipe cleaners (furry wires that we use during interhouse sports meets).
Everyone please wear/bring a black or purple hairband on that day so that we can kind of make it stand on our hair? :P

AND WE'RE GETTING PURPLE FACE PAINT! ^^

No heels/flip-flops/skimpy clothing/shorts/miniskirts/make-up/jewellery alright!
Please dress conservatively~ (:
Hair has to be tied up like during normal curriculum hours.

3. Souvenir
We'll have to make souvenirs for our parents - 1 souvenir for both parents, but if you want to have 1 for one parent it's fine. (: The class has to agree on the same item/souvenir, but each of us will decorate it differently after we get it. So everyone gets a different grade.

Each souvenir must cost less than $2, and they have to display your personal effort.
All souvenirs have to be handed in to Mrs. Ni by 1 July. It'll take up 20% of our CME grade.

4. Dinner
Dinner will be served at 6pm in school. Everyone must be back in school by then. Dinner for us will be free, but every subsequent family member you bring has to pay $3 each if they want to have dinner there.

We need the tentative number of family members you will be bringing who will be eating dinner in school BY FRIDAY, so please tell LiEn/me ASAP so that we can total them up and report to Mrs. Chew during GEL on Friday.

Money will have to be handed in on 3 July.

By the way, here's a reminder not to leave your valuables like handphones, cameras or iPods unattended as there are already a few people whose valuables have been stolen/gone missing after they left them in class.

Thus, if you are having CCA, please leave your valuables in your locker and collect them after your CCA has ended.
(Okay yeah I know that our classroom is all the way up on level 4, so maybe you can ask your CCA teacher in-charge for permission and pass them to him/her for safekeeping?)
